The ATO is expecting up to 4 million individuals to sign up for a myGov account in the wake of the introduction of Single Touch Payroll as it urges agents to keep a close eye on their client communication list.
Speaking at Thomson Reuters Synergy 2019, ATO director Felix Manero said the ATO is estimating an influx of 4 million taxpayers signing up for a myGov account in an attempt to view their income statement, formerly known as a payment summary.
