Australian businesses have been warned they need a better understanding of threats to their websites and could be at risk of "terrifying" attacks by hackers taking control of their systems without their knowledge.
"Domain name system" (DNS) attacks designed to harvest personal data hit global headlines earlier this year when a range of international groups including US federal agencies were hit by a hijacking campaign that saw scammers redirect legitimate website addresses to addresses that they controlled.
