Deloitte announces appointment of next CEO

Deloitte Australia has announced the appointment of Adam Powick as its next chief executive, effective immediately.

“Adam is a deeply experienced and respected leader within Deloitte Australia as well as at the regional and global level,” Tom Imbesi, Deloitte Australia chair, said.

Deloitte is currently facing a period of rapidly accelerating disruption and change, with Mr Powick largely expected to help the firm respond to these market forces “with agility and innovation”.

“Adam is an innovative and forward-looking leader who has a strong track record of growing and transforming practices and teams that he leads. Under his leadership we look forward to Deloitte being the market leading professional services firm in Australia,” Mr Imbesi said.

Mr Powick will assume his new position from his current lead appointment at Deloitte’s Asia Pacific Consulting practice, which has a special interest and background in digital healthcare.

Throughout his career Mr Powick has held a number of executive positions with Deloitte Australia, Deloitte Asia Pacific and with Deloitte Consulting globally. In his role as Asia Pacific Consulting leader he has overseen the management and growth of a $3 billion consulting practice across Asia-Pacific, with approximately 18,000 employees.
