A new five-step eligibility checker on the Service NSW website will assist flood-affected businesses to continue accessing support and assistance from the NSW government.
The online tool asks business owners a short series of questions to help identify which funding they can access. It takes about two minutes to complete and asks questions about the size, type and financial situation of businesses.
Once completed, business owners are presented with a list of the grants most applicable to their situation so they can decide which one is best to apply for as the eligibility criteria for each grant vary.
The NSW government said more than $20 million has now been paid into the accounts of small businesses, helping cover costs such as equipment and materials required for cleaning up and payment for tradespeople to conduct safety inspections.
The Small Business Northern Flood Grant one-off payment of $10,000 also went live this week, and applications will open soon for the Medium Business Grants of up to $200,000.
