Labor has indicated it could move within the next fortnight to support a government plan to fast-track tax cuts for small and medium businesses, and neutralise it as an election issue.
After Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirmed on Thursday the tax cuts that have already been legislated would be brought forward by five years, Labor leader Bill Shorten and treasury spokesman Chris Bowen left the door open to supporting the changes so long as they could be funded without affecting health or education spending.
