Startups feel the bite of data encryption laws
Key figures in Australia's fast growing start-up community have renewed calls for the Morrison government to reconsider controversial encryption laws they fear will stifle growth of the nation's booming tech sector.
Federal Labor promised to amend the legislation, which was condemned by global tech giants including Apple and local player Atlassian, if it won power at the last election. That did not transpire, and now the Coalition is standing firm on the laws.
