Learning from the US: The benefits of risk-taking in business

Vicki Stylianou, the executive general manager for advocacy and technical at the IPA, stepped in for our usual host, IPA CEO Andrew Conway, and together with our SME commentator Phillip Tarrant spoke to US small business royalty, who share some very valuable lessons to help you boost your productivity.

Our guests include senior adviser to the Office of International Trade with the US Small Business Administration Eugene Cornelius jnr, and chief counsel for advocacy under the Obama administration and ICSB president-elect Dr Winslow Sargeant.

With decades of experience in the SME space, Mr Cornelius and Dr Sargeant discuss the US ‘fail fast, fail often’ philosophy and why small businesses need to take risks in order to prosper.
