The Morrison government plans to devote $800,000 to improving audit quality in Australia amid concerns from the corporate regulator and calls from a Parliamentary committee to for the audit industry to come under “serious review”.
The Government will provide $0.8 million over three years from 2019-20 to the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board in a bid to improve audit quality in Australia.
