The ATO is bullish on its Practitioner Lodgement Service system stability this tax time after processing close to 400,000 returns over two days earlier this year, but has remained tight-lipped on the transition timeline from the old portals.
Speaking on the ATO’s Tax professionals conversations webcast, deputy commissioner Colin Walker said the transition to PLS has been smooth and that previous key deadlines over the past month had given the tax office confidence that the systems would run well during tax time 2018.
