Employee overtime figures jump by 33% year-on-year

New research has shed light on last year’s overtime figures, which increased off the back of fears surrounding workplace fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Hays’ FY21–22 Salary Guide, over the past 12 months, overtime increased in 33 per cent of organisations. Of this, 59 per cent of non-award staff were left unpaid for the extra hours.
